One thing that makes me crazy is cluttered kitchen counter tops! I feel like when you walk into a kitchen with a ton of things just sitting out on the counters, it feels messy. With that said, I do see a need for having certain items out within reach, such as spices and seasonings that you use every day.
So, I stole this little trick from my mom. A cute way to store your oils, spices and seasonings where they wont look like they are cluttering up the counter, but will actually look organized and put together! Who doesn’t love an organized kitchen?!
Start with a cute basket or tray.
This basket was given to me as a gift, but they can easily be found at Target or Homegoods. Look for something that matches your style! If your kitchen is sleek and contemporary, maybe go with a low metal box. If your more of a farmhouse kitchen, look for something wooden.
Find a spot for it.
Looks for somewhere to place your new organizational tool! I would suggest somewhere close to your stove, since these are probably most needed while cooking on it.
Fill it up!
Time to add your most used oils, spices and/or seasonings. In my basket, I keep my olive oil, coconut oil, ghee, garlic salt, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. These are all things I use regularly, and like to have readily available so I don’t have to go rummaging through cabinets to find.
